What our Guests are Saying

A great place to stay!
September 26, 2014

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was very well done with some great history that Judy shared with us. I was impressed with the care and attention to detail that went into it. The rooms were clean and there were plenty of snacks and breakfast goodies. My husband left a shirt and we received it in the mail a few days after we got home. Thanks for a great weekend!"

Outstanding place to stay
October 21, 2013

"The Yorkburg Manor is a true gem that everyone should have a chance to experience. My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, Judy & John went the extra mile to be welcoming. They suggested a great place for our celebratory dinner, and were at the ready to help out with anything else we needed. The manor is beautifully restored and incredibly clean. A place we will return to!"

I'd recommend them in a heartbeat!
August 2015, traveled with family

We've stayed at the Yorkburg for the last few years for an annual family reunion. The weekend we were there, our two cottages were seriously damaged in a severe windstorm. Five of our cars were smashed by trees. John and Judy first harbored our elderly parents that afternoon and then came to our cottage through downed trees to help us get out. Despite the lack of electricity and water at their place, they welcomed all of us and became the "clearinghouse" for the family (like 20 of us) to gather and get organized. The next morning, John took my husband and I to the hospital for injuries suffered in the storm and brought another family member home from the hospital. Who does that these days? They took in as many as they could hold and were extremely flexible for the next few days. Judy and John are hosts extraordinaire who go way out of their way to help you and make you comfortable! I'd recommend them in a heartbeat!
